HERE ARE LINKS AND SOME INFORMATION ON LOCAL ATTRACTIONS.
Stable Cottage is situated mid-way between the ancient fishing village of Sandend, with its gorgeous stretch of golden sand (picnic basket available on request), and the conservation village of Fordyce, with its pink stone 16th Century Castle. The cottage is a mere 10-minute walk from both spots along the historic right of way.
Those who want to travel further afield will find the cities of Aberdeen and Inverness just over an hour away - what better way to start, or indeed end a holiday, than a spot of monster hunting along the banks of Loch Ness.
You are also on the doorstep of the only A.A. Whisky Trail in the world.
The recently re-opened Glenglassaugh distillery is only a few hundred yards away from Stable Cottage, while the area boasts numerous castles, as well as Duff House art gallery, only 15 minutes along the A98 in Banff.
The area has many golf courses, including the internationally renowned Royal Dornoch, Boat of Garten and Cruden Bay, all within a two hour drive, but why not ask Dave to give you a game on his own course, Duff House Royal in Banff, designed by Dr Alistair MacKenzie, the man behind the famous Masters' course in Augusta.
We're sure you can now see just why Stable Cottage has become so popular with both the highly energetic and those who prefer the slower pace of life, throughout the year.
